Perth Amboy, NJ – March 2026 – The Perth Amboy Free Public Library invites the community to join its 5th Annual Women’s History Month Celebration, an inspiring event recognizing the achievements, leadership, and contributions of remarkable women who continue to make a lasting impact in Perth Amboy and beyond.

The celebration will take place on Saturday, March 28, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Perth Amboy Free Public Library, bringing together residents, community leaders, and families for an afternoon of recognition, inspiration, and conversation.

This year’s distinguished panel features four outstanding women whose work spans public service, education, entrepreneurship, and community advocacy:

  • Linda Estremera, newly appointed Middlesex County Prosecutor
  • Isamar Payano, Director of the Office on Aging for the City of Perth Amboy
  • Janine Hernandez, bestselling author and CEO of the Book Publishing Academy
  • Virginia Morales, owner of Jeannie Meows Animal Rescue, educator, and realtor

During the program, each panelist will share insights about their professional journeys, the challenges they have overcome, and the inspiration behind their dedication to serving others and strengthening their communities.

The event aims to highlight the powerful role women play in shaping the future of Perth Amboy while inspiring the next generation of leaders.

“This celebration continues to grow each year because our community is filled with extraordinary women whose leadership and compassion make Perth Amboy stronger,” said Isaiah Gomez, President of the Perth Amboy Free Public Library Board of Trustees. “We are proud to recognize these trailblazers and invite the community to join us in honoring their achievements and hearing their powerful stories.”

The Women’s History Month Celebration has become a cherished annual tradition at the library, showcasing women whose dedication, resilience, and service uplift the community and inspire others.

The event is free and open to the public, and community members of all ages are encouraged to attend and take part in this special celebration.
